| So here's a fun college story for everyone...
I'm helping Laura move in, like a good boy friend would. After carrying her refrigerator up 2 flights of stairs, we are standing awkwardly over random piles of stuff in her room. She decides that its time to put the fridge down, but unfortunately, I missed the memo on this, so when she moves forward the refridgerator falls DIRECTLY ON MY TOE. Just the big one. Nothing else.
So my toe turns black. Good sign right? I can still move it around, but I can't walk without vicoden or massive amounts of advil for the past few days. At one point it burst and was bleeding for a solid two hours.
Later this night I'm messing around with one of my friends and my toe connects with the back of his foot...
My toe nail RIPS OFF, except for the very back where the cuticle is, and stands at 90 degrees to my toe, and blood starts to pour everywhere. This is the first time I have ever seen what lays beneath the toe nail. Gross sight. A few beers and an army of sponge bob band-aids later, I sit before you, a broken man. Tomorrow I will see the doctor, and they'll do nothing.
Good game, college. | | |
| Guy tip #34 for living by yourself: Under no circumstances should you place an unwashed red item with your favorite clothes in the washing machine. They don't make pink "Bartow County Jail" T-shirts. | | |
| Duncan comes tomorrow! yay!
So my house for summer school is pretty sweet. I've got my own room so I don't have to revolve my schedule around Trent's masturbation habits- I can come and go as I please! Just kidding. Sort of. My room is actually reasonably larger than my room at home which is sweet. I also have a full mattress rather than a twin.
I've got two house mates, so 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom, a fair sized living room, a very nice kitchen, back porch with large backyard, and a hot tub.
So yeah...come and visit.
| So I was getting a little sad about leaving Durham, before it left me with two final images that remind me of why the Buckhead Bubble is so much nicer:
1) Half a block from one of our fraternity houses, a cab was up on cinder blocks because someone stole the front two tires.
2) I was wondering where I was going to store my bike since I don't have space in my car, but a homeless man solved this problem by stealing it. He was caught however, and now my bike is locked up as evidence.
Thank you, Dur-hole...
| So is it weird that I'm lending my car to Ross Perkins, Abby Waner, and Greg Paulus? I might be getting a pair of Duke Basketball shoes in exchange, which would be sweet. | | |
